for a long, long time it had been assumed that the sith, and all others who had fallen to the darkness, were acting upon their own ambitions. however, after the great catastrophe that had vanquished the old jedi order, it was discovered that a secret sinister force was behind their treachery all along.

 

the dark archon is a non physical entity of an extremely low and dense vibration. spanning thousands of forms and thousands of worlds, the archon feeds upon the emotional suffering of it's hosts. anger and envy are but spices added to the hate filled meal that this inter-dimensional vampire endlessly longs for.
 

the archon secures it's sustenance by literally possessing those who fall to the drk side. when that happens, a doorway opens, and a vessel is created for the archonic presence to take over - thus, the fire is the eyes of those who behold it. The archon then directs the behavior, thoughts and feelings of the host, inflicting suffering upon them. This also leads the host with a willingness to inflict suffering on others, in turn feeding the archons endless desire for more

 

after becoming aware of the few djedi who had survived, the archon instructed his personal inquisitor to visit their hiding place and dispose of them once and for all. - but when the inquisitor looses contact and does not return, the archons interest grows with a festering anticipation.
